Wider Church Youth Events
An important part of our youth program also involves taking part in wider church youth activities. On the third Sunday of each month after the service, the youth will be doing a fundraising activity for the youth conferences in the spring 2017.
St. Aidan’s Youth will be fundraising throughout the year so those grade 9 and older can attend these conferences:
Evolve Youth Conference – Nov. 11- 14, 2016
This is a Conference for Youth, Young Adults and their leaders at Stillwood Conference Centre at Cultus Lake. The theme this year is REST AND RENEW IN THE WONDER OF THE NATURAL WORLD. The cost is shared 3 ways: St. Aidan’s Education Fund, Victoria Presbytery Bursary and the individual youth. The youth are responsible to write a letter to St. Aidan’s and Victoria Presbytery requesting support prior to the event. Travel to the event is arranged by the Conference.
SAYES will engage in fundraising to help support individual costs. We’ll explore sacred spaces and spiritual practice, enjoy amazing meals, time in community, dance, learn, have fun and practice our faith.
