THEY HAVE ARRIVED! At 11 a.m. on Thursday our Syrian family, a mother, father and two sons aged 10 and 17, arrived at the Victoria Airport.  We received the call at 9 a.m. telling us that they would be arriving at 10:30 – 1 ½ hours notice!  They were tired but happy to see a welcoming group from the steering committee and the mosque.  They are staying with a family in Saanich for the time being and when they are settled we will involve them in finding a suitable place to call home.
