Learn English through Bible Stories

Newcomers and those who would like to improve their English fluency are invited to learn English through Jesus and the bible stories every Thursday 2:30pm-4pm in September and November this Fall. Led by Cheryl Black.

In Oct. & Dec. Julie Ng-Leung will lead an conversation group on “Life in Victoria” every Thursday 2:30pm-4pm

Scripture Discussion – An intercultural view

Newcomers who find English challenging are invited to have a conversation about the scripture on Sunday mornings during the service. Newcomers will gather at the service and leave will Julie for a small group discussion.

Ignite our taste buds (1st Sunday of the month)

Everyone is welcome to join our intercultural lunch every first Sunday of the month. We enjoy exploring cultural differences through our taste buds and interesting conversations at an ethnic restaurant.

Intercultural Mini-Workshops (2nd Sunday of the month after worship)

For those who are curious and would like to learn something about different cultures, these mini-workshops will sure be the safest space for you to ask questions and learn something new about a different culture. Newcomers and the congregation are invited to the mini-workshops hosted by Julie Ng-Leung at 11:30am-1pm on 2nd Sunday of the month after worship @ Cadboro Bay and the 3rd Sunday of the month after worship @ St. Aidan’s

Volunteer Intercultural Hosts

We are looking for hosts to welcome newcomers on Sundays. The Intercultural Workshops can help you explore some sensitive cultural topics and give you the skills and confidence to be a host.
